Spike is the BEST DOG!
Dad went into an elder care facility

Spike's dad is an older gentleman who had to go into a elderly care facility, and was recently hospitalized. Spike has known love, and he will wait faithfully and full of doggie hope for his person to come for him. But his person is old and sick now. His person will never come for him, cannot come for him. Without any relatives who could take Spike, he was taken to a high kill shelter. Like so many dogs, Spike's time ran out and he was going to be euthanized. We knew we had to save him! Spike deserved better. He was with his dad since he was a puppy. He was neutered when he was young and is a mellow boy who loves attention, belly rubs and playing ball. Spike is a little bit goofy and loves to cuddle. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He is only 4 yrs old, weighs about 64 lbs, fully vaccinated and microchipped. If you've been looking for a sweet lovebug of a dog, then Spike is perfect for you! He has a known history, is well socialized and healthy. Spike is not reactive to other dogs he meets on walks and has a very easy going personality. We've even posted photos of Spike when he was still living with his dad that a family friend gave to shelter volunteers. We're looking for a forever home in the Los Angeles area. If you'd like to meet Spike, please complete our adoption application found on dexterfoundation.com He is an amazing dog and will bring a lot of love into any home Adoption donation $250
