Oreo has a video!

Dobie Lab mix

Oreo is a gorgeous Doberman/ Lab mix rescued from a high kill shelter just in the nick of time. He is house trained, friendly and smart. Oreo comes to his name, and knows many commands including sit, stay and down! He is excellent on a leash and doesn't pull or lunge. If you'd like a buddy to hang out with, Oreo would be perfect for you. Oreo was seen by our private vet and is a very healthy boy about 6 yrs old. We had torn a ligament on his knee, and we got him the surgery that he needs. His recovery is going well and he is almost back to normal. He currently weighs about 60 lbs. He has a lean body with slim legs. Oreo is very handsome and has a lot of good qualities. Oreo likes to play with his toys, but isn't rambunctious. Oreo loves to cuddle, but is also happy to sit quietly by your side while you watch TV or work on the computer. This is a really great dog ready to be adopted! Unfortunately, we have to board Oreo because we do not have any available foster homes. Oreo deserves better than that, and we are eager to find him a foster or forever home. Oreo is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Oreo is fine with meeting dogs on the street or children, but should ideally go to an adult home as an only dog. He wants to be an alpha dog, so should go to a home with doggie experience. If you live in the Los Angeles area and would like to meet Oreo, please complete our adoption application found on If you can't adopt, can you at least foster, or know someone who can? We need a foster or adopter in the Los Angeles area. Thanks for sharing.

Foster Homes Needed

So many dogs are finding their way into shelters. Sadly, due to overcrowding, many never make it out. We can only save as many dogs as we have available foster homes. Can you save a dog's life by giving it a warm, loving home for a few days or weeks? We pay all of the dog's expenses. Your kindness will be repaid with lots of love and affection! As a foster parent, you will NOT be required to bring the dog to weekly adoption events. We want fostering to be easy and rewarding! Every new foster home is a dog's life saved!

The Adoption Process

First and foremost, complete the application here.
We then schedule a quick and easy home check. We are only adopting out to the Southern California area. We save new dogs each week, so we often have dogs that we have yet to post online.
