Rocky is a very sweet young dog rescued from an abusive home. Rocky's owner used to shock him with a shock collar just for fun. On top of that, he was extremely underweight. When family members saw the abuse, they contacted rescue for help. They were able to get the owner to surrender Rocky, but will not testify or file a complaint against their family member. We are grateful that they intervened on Rocky's behalf. Rocky is safely in one of our best foster homes. He has been examined by our vet, vaccinated, neutered and chipped. He has been gainig weight, and has blossomed into a happy loving little dog. Rocky needs time to get to know new people and situations, so would not be good in an active home with a lot of visitors or small children. Once Rocky feels safe, he is extremely loving and devoted. He's very smart and sweet. Rocky's ideal home would be with a single adult female, preferably someone who works from home or is retired.
