Raya and her brother Beau were surrendered to The Dexter Foundation in critical condition when they were just a few weeks old: malnourished, infected, and barely able to stand. With medical attention, constant supervision, and lots of warmth and love, Beau fought for his strength back and made a full recovery. Raya required more medical intervention with no guarantee of survival. After 4 days in the ICU, doctors advised that we say our goodbyes. Miraculously - Raya pushed through and made a full recovery thanks to the dedicated Dexter foster who took time off to nurse her back to health.
Fast forward 6 months, Raya and Beau are thriving more than ever! They are healthy, strong and active but not hyper. Raya and Beau are a closely bonded pair that love to cuddle, play with toys, give kisses, and chase each other in the yard. They get along with all dogs, adults, and children. They have happy, inquisitive personalities and are very smart. Raya and Beau are truly special and will bring a lot of joy into any home
We are looking for an adopter with a house, who works from home at least part time, and has no small children. Raya and Beau are great with all kids, but for the pup's safety, no children under 7. Raya and Beau are healthy, fully vaccinated and microchipped. They will be fixed prior to adoption.
